Just here to share a couple of stuff that I learn in bible study.
There is this famous daredevil that perform his tricks on tightrope... duh? He was famous for all his tricks such as blindfolded walk, uni cycle, and etc etc, and his greatest trick of all is walking on a tightrope at the same time wheel barrel-ing a huge rock across the tightrope, people were amaze at him. After the attempt of wheel barrel he ask whether people believe that he will be able to wheel barrel a person across too, the crowd/ audience agree and believe that he is able to do it without a sweat. Since everybody believe in him, he request an audience to be the person to sit on the wheel barrel. Now, are you willing to trust the daredevil ?

The story above kind of struck me as it remind me that being a Christian is about Surrendering, Trusting and Obeying.
Surrender : Surrendering yourself to the daredevil.
Trust : As you walk towards the daredevil, doubts will come accross your mind, trust is important.
Obey: And finally when you're infront of the daredevil, you are to obey and to sit on the wheel barrel.

I hope my bad english is able to carry across what I'm trying to share here and that hopefully you all are able to relate this to Christianity :)

Hie everybody, it's been awhile since I last blog, was dealing with my 3 mid terms last week, almost died, phew !

Being a person who get distracted easily when I am studying(also because I study infront of the laptop for dictionary.com purpose), I click on my younger bro's friendster profile, and look at some of his pictures, then only I realize how much I miss him, my family, my Malaysia.

My brother:
a) he is better in spiritual walk than me
b) taller than me
c) more hansem than me(ok ok , I know i've been denying this fact when I was back at home, but now I admit ,ok ?)
d) closer in relation with my family members(I guess I play too much computer or being selfish)

I talk to Adrian about how much I miss my bro and he said something that really struck me, "did you tell him that you miss him?" I pause for awhile and said I never tell him ...because of my pride...

oh well, I guess my body contains most of the"7 deadly sins" haha
Just wanted to tell you Kit, that I love you and never really appreaciate you when I was at home, this time of seperation will gimmie a good lesson I guess, will pray for you and hope you will study hard, keep mum and dad's blood pressure low and keep the house in harmony, show Christ's love to Har cheh and Grandma too :) and keep Rover alive so that when I come home, I can take it out for a walk :) love you bro.

Sister ah Teng: 24th of October, HAPPY BIRTHDAY ! now that you grow older I hope you continue to grow in ur spiritual walk too ! don't watch too much Tv and study harder. I love you too :)

Dad and Mum: try to find the fountain of youth so that both of you will continue to stay young, it's been wonderful for being around both of you, though there are times that I ran out of house and make you 2 grow more wrinkles because of frowning at me. Thanks for sending me to the States even though is not easy for both of you, I will show you that this "football field" of my life is worth it, with God by myside I'll reach the "touchdown line" :) love you all too :)

Incomplete pass, 2nd down; More Injuries

Oh well, I just cannot explain how much I love football.
There's this Saturday where we went to Wal-Mart and bought a 10 dollars microwave lagsane, some microwave cheesy garlic bread, and some vege.

But the thing is, it gona take us like 2 hour to microwave the lagsane, so in the time between I suggested that we play some touch-football outside Josh's appartment.

It was a fun 3 on 3 thing.

And 1 of the play I ran the ball myself, by first dotching Clay. After that dotch I kinda lose my balance abit, but the momentum keeps me running until Jonathan the Prankster came at my direction, I ran at fast as I could, and just when I reach the touchdown line, I tried to avoid him by doing a dive or slide, I can't remember, still he manage to touched me, he fell, rolling a few round on the grass, whereas I did a rock star slide on a concrete ground.

This is what happen when you don't play football on fully grass area.

I felt ... lonely, I realize I have taken many things for granted, like parents, siblings and friends back home. This loneliness bring forth a time of reflection, reflection upon my walk with God. In this country of freedom, there is nobody to tell me what to do, I can skip church, refuse to serve, I can even don't eat because there is nobody to tell me when to eat.

This time of reflection showed me that I've lose focus on Christ, please continue to pray for me, as I continue to persevere to the touchdown line.

I wrote something blindly few weeks ago, it's for my world literature paper, now that I've re-read it again, I finally find meaning in it, and therefore would like to share it with everyone.

MY CONFESSION
Oh God you are my God, and I will ever praise you. I will seek you in the morning, and I will follow you all of my days, and step by step you lead me, and I will follow you all of my days. Humans, the unique creation of yours, find meaning in you alone. Bearing your image, we are to live a life that reflect your face and your nature. In all creation, humans find themselves empty, untill you satisfy them, and only you can satisfy them. You made a hole in our heart, a hole that resemble your shape, we humans have tried and found everything on earth to fill in the hole, but nothing can fit the hole or satisfy us, because that hole only can fill by you, God. "You stir man to take pleasure in praising you, because you have made us for yourself, and our heart is restless until it rests in you(Augustine 3)." Not only do you satisfy me, but also your love oh God, amazes me. I wonder and ponder upon your love, and found no understanding in it. Heaven and earth could not contain your love and therefore you created us, so that your overflowing and abundance of love can be fill in us, even so, generation after generation of people could not contain your love. Just as the song 'the love of God' says, to write the love of God above, would drain the ocean dry. Nor could the scroll contain the whole, though stretched from sky to sky. Still, despite of dwelling in your love, in the middle of the garden is where the beginning of us turning away from you. Your love oh God, seeks to reunite us with you, you made every effort by turning us away from sin and lead us back to you, but again and again we despise and rejected you. You send your son to die for us when we are still sinners, through crucified and death came our salvation. 2000 years has passed, and here am I struggling day and night with sin, trying my best to grasp hold of your love and staying in the race, and finish it victoriously.

This is my 2nd Saturday in America, the cafeteria has sucky food on weekends, so we decided to go out and eat.
Clay drove us to this place call Cracker Barrel.

SACK ! 3 Yard back ! ; injured ankle

Sigh, I know is purely my fault, I seldom warm up before I play sports.
I was playing basket ball with my friend, and did some lay up and never land properly.
And I was wearing a futsal shoe, not a basket ball shoe to play, so ... no ankle protection.
This is the result of not warming up before sports.

6 weeks has passed, and my right ankle still not completely heal yet, maybe because I still run alot with my injured legs haha, do pray for me, so I can fully enjoy America's sport hahaha

Alright, one week has past, and I'm closer to touchdown line(graduation).
yea yea, I know, it's just the beggining of my journey, and I'm already thinking about my graduation.
Sigh, Can't help it, I just miss the poeple back home, rice, etc etc.

Alright, back to action, after surviving for 1 week, God sent another mana from heaven, Adrian drove all the way from Dallas (which is about 3 and a half hour) to Abilene to drive me around in Abilene.

Well, basically this picture is just an evident of me in America, so that you guys won't think that I change the flight ticket and fly to Sodom and Gomorah to enjoy my life like the prodigal son.

Sorry guys, haven't been able to update my blog, due to 3 exam and a paper due on today. Was burning mid night oil etc etc.

Oh well, 1st week was basically orientation week, know people etc.

The first person that approach me was Roshan from Malaysia, will intro more about him later in the blog but as for now I'm going to show you some pic of my room.

Here's my side of the room, the basket infront of my bed is the laundry basket, and u can see a sink there.

can u see the small blanket ? I almost freeze to death in this cold room, the blanket is so short that it bearly cover 3/4 of my body, so i was wearing 2-3 clothes everynight before i buy my tick comforter.

His fridge and Tv, + PS2 , free entertainment for me :D

During the 1 week of crazy orientation, Adrian email me and decided to tour me around in Abilene.

Some thoughts

On the 2nd last Sunday morning worship, Uncle Bernard( is that how you spell it ?) stands u. I thought as usual He's going to introduce us some 'new yet hard' song. But what he did was shocking and out of expectation ! He says something like " This morning as we come here to worship God I want to Sing a song, A cappella and offer it to God." A cappella ! A cappella ! A cappella ! A CAPPELLA ! A CAPPELLA !!! In my entire 21 years of life in PJGH i never encounter a person who's dare to do that during open morning worship!
the evil side of me almost cause me to burst out into laughter, but the good side of me surpress the judgemental me.

After he finishes, I can't help but to bow my head and started thinking:
Here's some of the insight:
1) If His action(singing A cappella) and intention is pure, that's an example of allowing God to control you, guid by the spirit, worship in spirit and in truth.
2) He doesn't care about what other people thinks about him, and is not embarass of what the spirit has lead him to do, indeed it's a challange to me, so often I find myself very self conscious.
3) should not let anything hinder us from giving our praise and thanksgiving to God.

erm, that's it.

okay okay, after all the long winded post and pictures I finally left Malaysia(on 19th August 2007) to Singapore for my air flight on 20th August 2007.

The zero vision drive on the high way to Singapore.

Left around 1:30pm reach around 6pm at Singapore. From left to right Peggy(Kee Mun's wife), Kee Mun(my dad's younger bro) lower left me, my mum and my dad.

Some of The final asian food before I go to the States. I'm actually missing them now T.T

American food can be categorize into 4 category:

1) way too salty

2) oily

3) sweet

4) fried

Can you believe it ?! there's no taste of 'Kam Hiong', 'Kung Bou Chicken' etc etc

and I'm really sick of it ! give me the taste of 'Ham Yu Fa Lam Bou', 'Cendol', 'Hec Ko' or Sze Chuan beef noodle T.T

Friday 17th Sept 2007

This is my last 3 days in Malaysia.

I manage to pull myself together and go to delicious(is a shop beside bakerzin at 1U) one last time before I really regret. Well, there's 2 goal to achieve on this trip to 1U, first 1 is to buy food for my farewell party on that night nitself, and the 2nd objective is to take picture with this girl(Miss. Brownie) that i spotted few weeks ago at the same shop while I was eating brownie with Caleb, Samantha and Richard.

Here's the plate of brownie that I ate on that day itself.

Sook Mun suppose to help with this dish, but she said she dislikes sweet stuff, oh well, I finish it alone and here comes the real challange.

Miss. Brownie was walking around keying in the orders and receiving orders etc etc. As she walks around I tried so many times to open my mouth to request a picture with her, but I fail.

Cut the long story short, I manage to pull myself together and here's the picture ! :D
